Client
An Illinois based Insurance Agency brought its National Conference to Chicago to celebrate its 75th Anniversary. The client's expectations were very high. The client had already traveled the globe with their National Conference and experienced many world class destinations and was clear in expressing their goal that Chicago, their home town, should shine above the rest.
In the Loop-Chicago was challenged to showcase the city for an audience of more than 3,200 employees and guests.
Solution
Every service we provide requires general management of the overall project. From developing a project team, master plan, and timelines to ensuring every last detail is anticipated; our approach is both comprehensive and high-touch.
ITLC developed a comprehensive master plan which included (but was not limited to):
- Airport Arrivals for 1,800 guests to eight different luxury properties in Chicago
- VIP Private Jet Arrivals and Private Sedan Services for the company’s top executives throughout their entire stay.
- Staffing services at all hotel properties including VIP Coordinators for corporate executives, Hospitality, Tour Desk and more.
- Optional Tour Program for guests time at leisure
- Navy Pier Daytime Extravaganza – incorporating 66 Motorcoaches from eight hotels to five different piers for an architectural river cruise on 23 boats for all 3,200 guests followed by transfers from the boats to Navy Pier via 50 Trolleys for a Chicago Style Picnic.
- Although we were awarded the event décor & entertainment business only two weeks prior to program operation, we successfully planned and executed these event elements for three 3,200 person events at Union Station, Navy Pier and the Field Museum.
- Evening Event Transportation for entire group to various off site venues with 66 coaches each evening including transfer of 3,200 guests to Millennium Park for a Gala Black Tie Reception and Dinner with concert performance by Elton John. Our team worked diligently with city officials, police, and vendor partners to ensure all movements were timely and smooth.
- Airport Departure Transfers and Bag Pull coordination for 1,800 guests amidst the August 2006 London security incident.
Result
In the Loop-Chicago successfully provided a multitude of special events and destination services to create an incredible Chicago experience for all attendees.
