Operations Manager
Kate began her career in the event industry with the Chicago Festival Association as a Production Assistant, managing operations for the nationally-televised Chicago State Street Thanksgiving Parade. She has been with In the Loop-Chicago since 2006, starting as Operations Coordinator and now as Operations Manager, overseeing most areas of operation, with a focus on large tour programs. With groups from 40 to 30,000, Kate has streamlined ITLC’s tour program to accommodate ticket counts up to 3,400 for a single program. Kate has fostered close relationships with industry professionals and city agencies to always keep her finger on the pulse of new and hot options for groups visiting Chicago.
Kate has also been involved with Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and currently holds a position on its Board of Directors. For three years, this experience has provided her a robust view of the industry--especially in Chicago.
