Director of Destination Services
Kristi Turcheck heads up a strong operations team that oversees transportation management, tours, activities, dinearounds and restaurant events. Kristi and her team have operated convention shuttles for up to 20,000, simultaneous tours for up to 2,600 and dinearounds for up to 1,200 guests.
Kristi has been involved in the hospitality industry for the past 10 years having previously worked as a Sales and Event Manager at the Henry Center for Executive Development at Michigan State University, where she facilitated meetings and events for mid-size groups of up to 200 guests. She joined In the Loop-Chicago as a Transportation Manager and transitioned as the Director of Destination Services shortly after coming on board.
A proud graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelors degree in Hospitality Business, Kristi realizes the need to mentor and educate young people and is instrumental in development of the In the Loop-Chicago summer internship program.
Kristi is a member of the Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME) and previously served on the board for Michigan Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Her accreditations include the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) administered by the Convention Industry Council.
