President/Principal
Andrew Schorr is keeping the team focused on strategic client/vendor partnerships, the creative mission of special events, destination services development and establishing company culture that allows the team to be a leader in the Destination Management and special events arenas.
Andrew’s career spans over twenty years in the hospitality industry with operational and sales experience for Hyatt Hotels and Landmark Incentive Travel. He has been a part of In the Loop-Chicago (ITLC) since day one in October 2000 and this ultimately led him to his career goal of business ownership, when he and Bart Louhi acquired ITLC in December 2007.
Andrew received his Bachelors degree from the Purdue University School of Hospitality. His educational background drives his passion to introduce students to opportunities in the hospitality field and to become involved in the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Student Mentoring Program. Andrew also speaks at local colleges and administers the student summer internship program at ITLC.
As a board member and past president of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Illinois chapter, Andrew believes in the importance of professional industry participation as a valuable way to share ideas, provide mutual support and identify ways to market, manage and grow our businesses. He is also strongly committed to supporting the efforts of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau to make Chicago a world class destination for meetings and events.
